Frequently asked questions
Which audio does it affect?
All unprotected audio playing through your Mac's output. Some DRM-protected streams (e.g. certain Apple Music / Netflix titles) bypass the tap and play un-EQ'd.
Do I need a driver or reboot?
No. Sonance EQ uses Core Audio process taps on macOS 14.4+ — it installs and runs like any normal app.
My audio went silent after switching output/Bluetooth.
Sonance EQ automatically rebuilds its audio chain when the default output device changes. If a route ever goes quiet, toggle it off and on from the menu bar.
