DEVFORGE

Privacy Policy

← Back to DevForge

The short version: Every developer transform happens on your Mac. DevForge never sends the input, output, files, JWTs, tokens, or other content you use with its tools. It sends limited anonymous, content-free product analytics so we can understand whether workflows succeed and improve the app.

Your content stays on your Mac

JSON, Base64, URLs, hashes, UUIDs, timestamps, JWTs, and regular expressions are processed locally. DevForge does not upload the text you enter, generated results, file names or paths, clipboard contents, JWTs, tokens, prompts, queries, recordings, transcripts, stack traces, or raw error messages.

Anonymous product analytics

DevForge sends the following limited data to our Supabase-hosted analytics database:

The random installation identifier is not an Apple advertising identifier, is not connected to a name, email address, account, or other identity, and is used only to measure aggregate product use and retention. DevForge has no account system.

Purchases

The optional DevForge Pro one-time purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer does not receive your payment card details. DevForge records content-free purchase-flow outcomes, product identifier, storefront currency, price in minor currency units, and Apple transaction identifier for analytics and purchase reliability. Apple handles payment information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

How we use and protect analytics

We use analytics only to measure workflow completion, foreground-active use, time to first value, retention, reliability, and purchase conversion. Client access is insert-only: the app cannot read analytics records. Reporting views are restricted to the service role. Event names and properties are allowlisted, and database constraints reject content-like fields.

No tracking or advertising

DevForge does not use analytics for advertising, does not sell or rent data, and does not track you across apps, websites, or companies.

Retention and deletion

Deleting DevForge removes its local preferences, including the random installation identifier, according to macOS behavior. To request deletion of analytics data under our control, email the address below and describe the request as “DevForge analytics deletion.” Because DevForge does not collect account contact information, we may be unable to identify a specific anonymous installation unless you provide its installation identifier.

Children

DevForge is a developer utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
