Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026. This policy applies specifically to Clip Contract: Pasteboard QA.

Local pasteboard capture

Clip Contract observes macOS NSPasteboard after a copy event so it can reproduce and diagnose copy-and-paste interoperability issues. It stores the primary text, image, or file reference shown in the capture archive. For contract comparison it also stores pasteboard type identifiers, byte counts, local SHA-256 equality digests, pasteboard item count, capture time, and the source application's name and bundle identifier.

Raw secondary representation payloads are not retained in the contract snapshot. Captures, baselines, and equality digests are stored locally on your Mac in the app's sandbox. Clip Contract has no account, analytics, advertising, tracking, sync service, or network entitlement.

Content-free diagnostic reports

When you choose Copy Content-Free JSON Report, the exported report contains format identifiers, byte counts, source metadata, timestamps, and comparison statuses. It deliberately omits clipboard values and local equality digests. The report is placed on your clipboard only when you request it; you decide where to paste or share it.

Purchases

The optional one-time Clip Contract Pro purchase is processed and validated directly by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive payment details. Apple may process purchase and device information under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data collection and deletion

We collect no data. Clipboard content, pasteboard metadata, baselines, and diagnostics are not transmitted to us or any third party.

You can delete individual captures, clear unpinned capture history, or clear the saved contract baseline from inside Clip Contract. If you uninstall the app and also want to remove any data macOS retains in its sandbox container, delete that local container through Finder or macOS storage management.
