Local contract cases
When you explicitly save a baseline or compare the current clipboard, Clip Contract reads the actual NSPasteboard representations. A case retains format identifiers, byte sizes, local SHA-256 equality digests, timestamps, your case name and check labels. The latest 25 checks are retained per case. macOS does not identify the original copying app. Current captures do not record a copying-app attribution. Clipboard values are not stored in contract cases.
Optional capture history
History recording is off on a fresh install and can be enabled or stopped with Record History. When enabled, the archive retains primary text, images or file references, representation metadata. Older history may contain foreground-app observations; these do not identify the copying app and are labeled as legacy metadata. Copies marked private, transient or automatically generated are excluded. Existing local history is preserved when updating.
Contract cases, optional capture history and equality digests stay locally on your Mac. There is no developer account, analytics, advertising, tracking or sync service.
Diagnostic reports
When you choose Export Case Report, the system save picker writes a JSON file containing case names, check labels, timestamps, format identifiers, byte sizes and comparison statuses. It omits clipboard values and equality digests. Case names and labels are user text and should be reviewed before sharing. Legacy archive diagnostics can also be copied to the clipboard at your request. You choose where to save, paste or share reports.
Purchases
The optional one-time Clip Contract Pro purchase is processed and validated directly by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive payment details. Apple may process purchase and device information under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data collection and deletion
We collect no data. Clipboard content, pasteboard metadata, baselines and diagnostics are not transmitted to us. Apple processes optional purchase information as described above; opening support or privacy links uses your browser.
You can delete a contract case and its checks, delete individual archive captures, clear unpinned history or clear the legacy archive baseline inside Clip Contract. Turning off Record History stops future automatic captures. If you uninstall the app and also want to remove any data macOS retains in its sandbox container, delete that local container through Finder or macOS storage management.
